The Truth About the Viking Dishwasher
Viking came into the professional cooking and home appliances market in 1987. They have refrigerators, wine cellars, dishwashers, grills, cookware, cutlery and small appliances. All are exceptional and affordable; all are good and ready for the home professional. The consumers have stated their satisfaction with the Viking series of appliances and have given their approval of the products.
There are four Viking dishwasher models and sub-models to choose from: three Viking White Dishwashers, three Viking Black Dishwashers, four Viking Stainless Steel Dishwashers and one Viking Panel Ready Dishwashers.
The Viking dishwasher is competitive in its prices and quality. The stainless steel dishwashers feature an interior light that goes on when the door is opened. A feature commonly found in refrigerators but very uncommon, if never found, in other dishwasher brands. The temperature can be set at 140 degrees for the delicate plastics and crystal and 165 degrees for the more durable items. The convection forces hot drying and an autoclave effect which leaves the items super clean. There is even a convenient cutlery holder on the top of the tub where larger knives and long and flat cooking utensils can be placed. The filter basket is easily removed and cleaned, although most costumers state that they only do this every six months and they still cannot really find anything dirty about the filters. And the last, if not favourite feature which most consumers comment on, is the soundless operation. This so totally different from other well known brands and some older dishwashers where the whole house can literally vibrate when it is doing its cycle. At least with the soundless operation, watching television won’t need the ear phones.
Now that the features have been presented, consumers have all agreed that the aesthetics of the Viking dishwasher is a dream. For those who like the clean lines of stainless steel modern kitchens, the stainless steel dishwasher will certainly make a pretty accent piece, a very functional accent piece.
Truthfully, a lot of consumers were disappointed about the Viking dishwasher. However, the more and more I decided to read about the complaints, the more I was inclined to ignore them because most of the complaints were not because of the product but because of their mishandling of the doors and probably there was no caution in the use, the abuse of the equipment, like any machine, will of course make it fall apart. Like, slamming of the doors when the dishwasher is full should not be done at all. Another, the ruin of some items which later on turned out to be not dishwasher safe. These two examples cannot be, in all honesty, be blamed on the company.
So is the Viking recommended for the general public? Most definitely. This is a machine which is not just pretty and aesthetically attractive for a high end kitchen, it is a reliable machine that does what it was promised when it was marketed.
The Viking dishwasher may just be one of the kitchen products of Viking, but soon it will be the consumers’ choice for high end and attractive kitchen appliance that has a place in every household.
